I lived in Rothwell until I was almost 14yo. I loved it there but my Dad decided to emigrate to Australia in 1969. Now I live in Brisbane which is a large city almost the size of the whole of West Yorkshire. I have been back 3 times to Leeds and Rothwell in 1998, 2005 and 2009. There was a massive change to see in 1998 but the last two times I went back It was not such a drastic change. Will be coming again in 2011. You can't beat the pork pies in Rothwell. Also love the Lions Midget Gems which you can get here but the charge a fortune for them. I hope Leeds United can get back to where they belong also. See you next year!

Lived in Rothewell until 1978, departed for the far east where I have lived since, visited Rothwell a number of times since leaving but have to say when visiting in Feb 2009 I was shocked to see no longer Rothwell but Morriswell, what have they done to your nice little village.

I lived in Rothwell for 27 years,married and eventually came to Adelaide,sorry you Rodillians no comparison It is a heavenly place to live is Adelaide,definately will not return to Rodill.

Been all over the world working and on holiday but Rothwell is the place for me.....:-)

all our family were born and bred in rothwell. a lot of the family still live there. i'm not sure i would come back, i dont like the fact that Morrison's has taken over the place.its not the village i was broght up in any more.

generations of my family ave been born and brought up here...... Times move on and things change...Memories don't.... You might leave rothwell but it will never leave you xxxx
